My pool builder's contract included a line item for my system that states "1 Jandy Aqualink PDA^ computer control system". I ended up with an Aqualink RS4 system that I control via my phone app. I also didn't get a Jandy remote/PDA. Two questions: Does the original PDA system allow you to control via the web? Which system would be more expensive, the PDA6 without remote or RS4? I need to add a device to my system but I don't have a spare aux port. Trying to determine should the builder upgrade the RS4 CPU/circuit board at no-cost. Thanks

The PDA and Phone interface will work together. The PDA based system can control via the web with the IQ20-RS upgrade kit. If both had been enabled, the system would have cost around $500 or so more. Individually they are similarly priced since the PDA by itself is $500. The PDA6 gives you 2 more aux ports than the RS4. It is easy enough to upgrade to the RS6 it just takes a new control board.

Here is the selection guide.

You just need the CPU board like below. Always some on ebay but be careful of warranty issues. The are very easy to swap out takes like 10 minutes. System will need to be totally re-programmed when done. The instructions that come with them explain what to do. Make sure to get a current rev though a lot of people sell their old boards when the upgrade.
