Hello all!

I just picked this up this weekend for $50, seller tells me it only ran for a minute or two and would need a reset, rinse and repeat. Figured I would give it ago since electronics are my thing and at the time it sounded like a fault in the PSU. Today I tried testing out in the bathtub. It pumps for about 3-5 seconds and stops, PSU output remains at 29v. It does not attempt to move however.

I'm new to these machines so any input will be helpful, it could be I'm going about testing it all wrong. See the YouTube video below for a visual on what is going on.

Thanks!

Welcome to TFP :)

Wish I could help.. Looks like the drive motor might be toast but not sure...
Thanks for the welcome!

I had some time this weekend to crack 'er open. The motors are a tad noisy, but run fine on bench power. I found that it keeps it's brains down there too, which I kind of suspected given it's behavior and limited wiring going down to it. It appears the motor driver circuit board it self is bad and it running the pump for a few seconds, slowing it down, then stopping it might be it's way of saying it has detected a fault.

I found a used drive motor with controller on eBay for $25, so hopefully that works. I did try swapping the gate drivers to see if the fault would move to the pump from the drive motor, but no luck. The other motor driving component's are too tiny and without proper documentation of how they work weren't worth digging any deeper.

I'll update when the parts come in, they are used and untested, but if it works out then I would have gotten this bad boy up and running with purchase for $75, which I think is a decent enough deal.

Hey Sp00nix I just got my pool open and went to run my Aquabot S600 (looks identical to the one in your video). The power button blinks when it's plugged in but when I push the power button nothing happens. I can't get a constant light on the power button and no lights on any of the program buttons. I haven't opened up the power supply yet. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot?
