I have a t-3 cell, all readings seem to be ok except voltage is at 29.5 when generating chlorine and when not. But it is not generating. I replaced the circuit board, and swapped in an old cell I had to troubleshoot it and it still reads the same faulty voltage and not actually generating although the lights show.

Thank you in advance.

Welcome to TFP.

This is the basic information we need to know in diagnosing a problem:
  • Report all diagnostic readings when you..
    • Move the switch from auto to off and check all of the readings.
    • Move the switch back to auto and recheck the readings.
    • Move the switch to off for a minute and then back to auto and recheck the readings.
  • What are the first seven characters of the cell and box serial numbers?
  • What is the actual salinity and how are you measuring it?

Good afternoon, sorry I’m just getting back to you. It was storming here yesterday.

Auto to off: 2900 / 88 / 29.7 / 0 / 91 / 0
Auto; 2900 / 90 / 28.7 / 3.56 / 91 / 3400
Off/auto: 2900 / 92 / 28.5 / 3.56 /91 / 3400

First 7 : 3a12191
Could not find serial number

Only measured salinity with aquarite box

thanks for your reply.

The Hayward manual states 20-26 volts when generating, mine is at 28.7.

It’s still is not generating.
If you have volts and amps it is generating.

What makes you say it is not?
