Aqua rite high voltage when generating amps ok

I have a t-3 cell, all readings seem to be ok except voltage is at 29.5 when generating chlorine and when not. But it is not generating. I replaced the circuit board, and swapped in an old cell I had to troubleshoot it and it still reads the same faulty voltage and not actually generating although the lights show.

  • Move the switch from auto to off and check all of the readings.
  • Move the switch back to auto and recheck the readings.
  • Move the switch to off for a minute and then back to auto and recheck the readings.
• What are the first seven characters of the cell and box serial numbers?
• What is the actual salinity and how are you measuring it?

I just added salt, it was malfunctioning before and reading about the same on the diagnostics prior. The salt was reading about 2500 before I added it.

The Hayward manual states 20-26 volts when generating, mine is at 28.7.

It’s still is not generating.

If you have volts and amps it is generating.

What makes you say it is not?

I am not showing any chlorine in my pool.

If you have amps and the instant salinity is correct, then it is producing the correct amount of chlorine for the cell.

Do you see tiny hydrogen bubbles coming out of the return?

What test kit do you have?

Pool size?

Is the pool green or cloudy?

Algae can consume the generated chlorine faster than the SWG can generate it.

Does your pool pass the Overnight Chlorine Loss Test? If not, you need to follow the SLAM Process to get your pool algae-free.

To capture some fresh FC go grab a disposable water bottle, squeeze it flat and then place it in front of a return ONLY after the controller shows amps and volts. Test that water and it should show chlorine....
