I have an Aqua pro filter system and at the bottom of where the filter goes is to pegs that lock the filter into place. They broke off. can the pump run safely without these? or what can I do? The picture I attached is of where the pegs inside the cartridge filter compartment go. Just to give an idea of what I’m talking about. Thanks guys.

I'm going to add Aqua Pro to your thread title to help get more views. Since I don't own that product, I'm curious:
- Is that black part separate from the cartridge filter itself? They don't come together do they?
- Is the filter pressed "downward" from the lid or something else to help keep that black base in place?

Thanks! Yes the black part is part of the filter. Their looks like a groove in the lid that the filter also sits in. I never had to press the filter down. I just place it over the pegs and twist it to lock.
