I had a hayward aqua plus automation installed last year. Every morning the panel says check system low salt by dinnertime the salt level reads 3100 ppm I had the t15 cell cleaned and checked at the pool store all is good I checked my salt level with the Taylor kit and it's 3200.hayward tech support was not much help. Any help would be appreciated thanks

I had the same problem. After the salt cell is cleaned, did you reset by pressing and holding the diagnostic button a few seconds? After this, you may need to manually reset the salt level. I check my salt levels with salt strips but rely on the reading from the pool place as a more accurate reading. Don't add too much salt since you will have to drain it down and add water if the level gets too high. (I learned this the hard way and had to lower about 6") Anyway, the steps for resetting the salt level are:
  1. With the pump running, take the power switch down to the “Off” position, and then back up to “Auto”. You should hear a click within 10 or 15 seconds. When you do, press the diagnostic button five times in a row. The system will go through a recalibration process.
  2. Wait until the numbers stop changing. If the system settles on or near a number that is close to what you believe to be the salt level in the pool, slide the power switch up to “Super Chlorinate”, then back down to “Auto”. This will lock that number in as the new average salt reading.

Turn off the pump using the control panel on the pump and then go to diagnostics and press the ">" button until you get to flow. Does it say flow or no flow?

First, go to settings and turn the percentage to 0.

That's the problem. It thinks that there’s flow when there’s no flow so it’s turning on the SWG with no flow which causes the problem.

A SWG that’s on with no flow can actually explode due to a buildup of chlorine gas and hydrogen gas, so leave it off until the flow switch is fixed.

Unplug the flow switch from the board to see if it still says Flow.

If it still says flow, the board is bad. If it says no flow, the flow switch is bad.
