Aqua Plus Lightning Strike

Just had a lightening strike very close to the house that cause a huge power issue. I now have "no power" to cell being displayed, my wireless remote does not connect to the Aqua Plus anymore, and the Hayward Tittanium Heat Pump wont power out. Otherwise everything works fine, i.e., pump, controller, timer, etc.

I took the board out and checked for burnt solder joints, but everything looks fine. Does anyone have any other troubleshooting items to check on the board to verify what may be bad now? If its a simple relay, capacitor, etc replacement needed, I rather go that route then buy an entire new board.

Thanks

After further troubleshooting, it looks like the rectifiers may be bad? Does that make sense that a power surge or lightening strike would cause the rectifiers to fail?

It looks like I can only buy them in packs of 10. Does anyone know where I can buy them individually?

Thanks

I had a lightning strike a week ago as well. The main display and buttons at the panel no longer work, and the swg displays 40.6v 10.02A on the remote control display. The swg will run for 10 seconds then shuts off because of the high current.

I have looked at everything on the pcb control board, and I can't see any damage either.

The only positive thing, is my remote control still works, but the swg will not run.

I think i have a board that cannot be fixed.

You might try calling Salt Solutions. They repair these types of boards and probably have some input as to what is wrong. I believe that there is two power supplies on these units. One is for the salt cell, and the other powers the board. If everything is working except the main display, possibly the main display is bad.
