Would like to hear what others think about the Aqua Genie skimmer and filtration system. My wife and I are having a 18 x 36 in ground pool salt water pool built and the contractor is using the Aqua Genie. Any thoughts?

Is the builder talking about using this without any other returns?
It is also sold as a way of chlorinating the pool using tabs (the Aqua Genie is a tab feeder in combination as a skimmer and return), what have they said about that?

I have one customer with three of them in his pool and I hate them. He has more trouble getting pool clear in the spring and more trouble keeping it clear
Hi, welcome to TFP! It's an answer in search of a problem that doesn't exist. Stick with the traditional skimmer and return system, and say no to any kind of chlorinator. If you have problems with it down the road, it is tough to track down parts, or to even find anyone who understands what it is. Questions about them pop up every now and then.
