Anyone know where I can find a 2 1/2" to 2" adapter for pool filter

Bought a new bottom for my aging pool filter.
The new one has 2 1/2" male in/out connectors whereas the old one had 2".

Just finished repairing my pipes and was hoping to avoid cutting again, so looked everywhere online (Lowes, Home Depot, Amazon, Plumbing Supply, Pool Supply / Leslies, generic Google search) but can't find a 2 1/2" female threaded x 2" male threaded PVC adapter.

Maybe I'm looking with the wrong search terms?

To use that, I'd have to cut off the old 2" union to replace it with this one?

These unions are female threads that screw onto the existing male threads.

2 1/2" side is threaded, but the other side is a slip.
I'd have to cut off the old 2" union from the pipe to slip this new 2 1/2" union onto the 2" pipe I think?

The new part inserts into the existing part and the nut gets screwed down.

It does not work like a regular union; the part with the O-ring slips inside the existing part.

Thanks for the videos and sorry if I'm still not seeing how this works without cutting off the 2" threaded union on my pipes.

What does the 2" threaded collar on my pipe screw onto after this kit is installed? There don't appear to be any 2" threads made available after installing the 270100.

Got the union attached to the pipes from Amazon here:

They give a number of "21063-200-000-2" but not sure which company that's for.

Can you screw the male part into this adaptor?

Could probably make an adapter by gluing the slip part of the 2" PVC Schedule 40 Spigot x Female Adapter to the Pentair 270100.

The 21063-250-000 model of the high temperature union looks like it might just work by itself though.
