Anyone have any idea where the waste setting might be?

Brand new pool owner this year and I have a lot of algae settled at the bottom. I was advised to vacuum to waste. I’ve never done this and have no idea which of these levers needs to be moved. I know it’s a long shot but the previous pool owner is unreachable

Anyone have a guess based on these pictures what I need to do to VtW?

Very interesting plumbing setup. Mine is much simpler with the multi-function valve on top of the filter.

At any rate, it looks like you will have a lot of water shooting out of that port on the bottom of the large black valve when you vacuum to waste, so you might consider getting a backwash hose to direct the water away from the area. It will need a hose clamp too.
