Anyone built or used a rope swing?

Topic of discussion with family over Xmas break was pool planning

The idea of a rope swing came up (fun is the top factor for the pool)





From my research rope swings are NOT a common item....they appear to be provided via a fake concrete tree or a generic beam structure

I'm trying to think of pros/cons I need to evaluate and could use some additional feedback

I think a rope swing would be super fun until...

Just make sure to show the picture to your primary and umbrella insurance
companies to make sure they are on board.

I did one and had it engineered since it was tied to the pool shell/rockwork... the footing was 8 cubic yards of concrete and all #5 rebar.

Needless to say, if done correctly it will not be cheap.

Ok thanks for that specific feedback on general pricing. I don't have any specific bids for this item yet it is just idea phase.

My personal ballparking I was wondering if it was comparable to a landscape slide.

If anyone else is curious...my estimate was just under 6k for a pool rope swing (fake tree style not gallows)
