Any way to cover up black epoxy?

Hi,

I recently had a leak detection company come and test my pool for a leak I'd been battling for a while. They came out and identified the leak and patched it. However, the patch was made with black epoxy for some reason. The tech made the patch before saying anything to me about it and I don't really understand why he didn't use white epoxy. Is there anything I can do to minimize the black color in the pool? Could I paint over it or spread some white epoxy on top of it so it's not so obvious?

Thanks for any insight.

Paint is not going to adhere to epoxy. Maybe white epoxy will. Or it can end up looking even worse.

Do you think anyone will be examining your pool to see it while they enjoy it?
