Any reason to run a VS pump at high speed if not for skimming/SWCG/circulating chemicals?

When I switched to a VS pump on my 24,000gal in-ground pool, between my installer and a couple tweaks on my part I landed on the following program:

3000rpm/2 hours
950rpm/6 hours
2000rpm/2 hours

I since purchased a BettaBot, which is doing a great job of skimming the pool. I don't have an SWCG. I'm wondering if it would make sense to run at 950 rpm for 24 hours or near to it and run a "quick clean" for a couple hours only when I'm adding chemicals and want them to circulate more effectively. Am I missing anything?

G,

Your lowest speed is really determined by the way you chlorinate your pool.

If you use Chlorine tablets, the lowest speed needs to be able to dissolve the tablets.
If you have a SWCG, the lowest speed needs to be able to turn on the salt cell.
If you use Liquid chlorine, the lowest speed needs to just be able to give your pool a little circulation.

I would not run any slower than what makes the skimmers work.

My pool runs 24/7, mostly at 1200 RPM because I have a SWCG and I like to make a little chlorine all the time and skim all the time. I never run it faster than 1500 unless I run my waterfall. I don't see a need to run it anywhere close to 2000 or 3000 RPM.

Thanks,

Jim R.
