I discovered an easily fixable leak in our heat pump - phew, it was b/c a clamp slipped off so I fixed it, but then I saw the 15+ years of debris on the bottom of the unit and decided to clear it out - but there were roots so I pulled a little here and there and you guessed it, I pulled a set of the wires and I can't tell where it should be connected back into. It's a plastic coated tube with 2 black wires inside - circled red in the picture) It is connected to the control panel (where all the other wires are) and snakes to the back of the unit. There was a different set of 2 black wires (without a coating) that go into an circular area in the back of the unit, but I removed the cap and it doesn't seem like the disconnected wire would have fit in there. Please help. Each year I try so hard to solve our equipment issues and of course, this year, I created my own issue all on my own. Edited to Add - I've sinced confirmed that it wasn't the power line b/c I wanted to switch off the fuse before I started the pump again and the display panel still lights up. Also, I have manual, but I still can't figure out where the wire goes. Here's the link if anyone has time to look Aquacal H/AT100R Owner`s manual | Manualzz
Thanks so much for any advice or hints you can provide :)
Patty

The wire looks like it connects to a sensor. Can you look on the board where the wire you pulled out is connected to and see if there is anything etched on the board saying what that connection is for?

The black wire in pics 3 & 3 connect to a temperature sensor in the pipe.

Have you called AquaCal Support?

Finally went to check out the circuit board and turns out the wire isn't connected to anything in the circuit board.. crazy! I ended up not being able to change the temperature .. which turned out to be an issue b/c the water flow wasn't high enough. I don't remember that being an issue in the past, but all is well and good now. Thanks so much for your help! Love TFP
