I just did another test and also included TA this time. Looks like by adding new water, plus the rain, the TA skyrocketed to 170. So, I’ll add some more acid to drop that. I’ve got 4 scuppers that I’ll leave running to help aerate the water to get the pH back up. How low is it OK to take pH to get the TA where it needs to be? In other words, should I target a pH of 7, pause let the aeration process get it back up and then add more acid? Or is it OK to add enough acid to get the TA where it needs to be and then keep the scuppers on for enough days to get the pH all the way back up?
