Recently bought a house in west Houston with what I would consider a sport pool, spa, and some water features. Previous owner took care of the pool so I luckily did not inherit a green monster and would like to keep it that way. I have a TF-100 kit with speed stir on the way. I had a few deficiencies from my pre-purchase pool inspection that I am tackling and will be posting over on the ljust getting started section” for those questions. From my initial research it does seem that my main pump is oversized and inefficient???

Hi, welcome to TFP! Yes, 2hp is a lot of pump. Do you know if it is doing anything besides circulating water? Is it single speed?
That 2HP pump will pull a lot of power if it's not a VS. Since you have a spa and water features, it may be needed.
It is a single speed (Pentair WF-28). Water falls have their own 1HP pump so those aren’t a factor, but not sure how the spa comes into play. The spa does have a separate blower that can be turned on.
