Does this equipment list look good my pool. Any recommendations?

So question I have is I was told I should use another VS for my WF. Is this correct or would a single 1.5 HP pump do the trick?

Hey Everyone! We are debating now on our tile selections!!! We have decided on the stacked stone and the travertine which are in the picture (luckily we are using same travertine as neighbors!!!). So we are going back and forth between the two. Of course I love one of them and my wife loves the other (haha). Let me know what you guys think! All opinions welcome!!

Oh man I NEVER thought I would say this as much as I LOVE blue BUT I like the brown color better with your stone! It has BLING even being in the brown group so that makes up for it not being blue.

I do not think the blue goes as well.

wait............what color of plaster are you getting???

My 2 cents....I have 11 in floor and one each on 3 steps in 10k g pool. (PCC2000, PV3, MDX) Currently doing an excellent (!!!!!!) job even with the desert dust. (which i have alot of where I am located.) I would offer one caution. maintenance!!! My water valve (which controls the pop ups), failed and I didn't realize it at first until the pool started collect debris/dirt in corners. For several days I would stand around the pool and look to see if all the pop ups were working. That takes a lot of time and I would get bored and walk away. When I opened the water valve it was obvious what the problem was, even though the P gauge seemed to show proper working. In summary I am very happy with my in floor system.

Hey Kim. Thanks for your input! I think we are going with a Tahoe blue or blue of some sort. Going to nail down the plaster phase here in the next couple of days.

Hey Joeld. Good point about the infloor cleaners. We decided to take out the infloor and just go with side suction cleaner and may look into one of the robots down the road.

From what ive been told with the natural stone we have is that we should be ok...however im not sure someone would try to sell me something and say anything like that haha.

Our columns will be all tile and the spa spill over tile too so hopefully there wont be much constant water issues with the stacked stone. (fingers crossed)

Hey Kim! I sure will try to get some samples. I think we will be going this week to look and youre right... that should better help us decide when we have the last element!!

Great idea!

Anyone have thoughts on the pump for the WF. I do not need a VS correct? Just a simple 1 HP motor?

Hi Bustanoj- can you point me to the manufacturer of that brown tile? We really like it and it's eerie how similar our pools are! I have a build thread going on.

On the waterfalls, I have both sheer descents and bubblers and I'm being advised to go with variable speed as another way to help control the flow. Looks like you might have scuppers? I'm not sure if it will matter as much but I think you'll be able to run the variable speed pretty low which should save $$.

And we're back! Man what an exhausting week it’s been with contractors, holiday and delays. So steel came on Saturday to knock out the project...well... that's until they ran out of steel and decided that they had to wait until Tuesday to be able to get more steel from their supplier. So that scratched getting electrical to come out Tuesday and inspection Wednesday.

So once I returned to town I viewed how the project was coming along and I noticed the steel placed throughout the pool...well I noticed that there were not any light niches in the pool. So I asked my steel guy what was going on and he said excavation should've taken care of that. So I call my excavation guy and he says that I didn't ask him to did them out....WHAT!!!! His crew had the lights marked out during the dig and I assumed (I know, I know...) that the job was completed correctly and of course I missed that he didn't dig them out initially. Anyways he told me it wasn't on the plan so that's why he didn't do it...show I showed him the plans that show the lights. Then he says that he doesn't normally do it..so I sent him the picture of his layout which included the lights drawn out for the dig and then he decided to go with that most lights are nicheless and that's why he didn’t do it. I explained to him that my equipment lists shows intellibrights and the pool shouldve been dug to my plans and I’m sure everyone knows those use niches! He decided not to respond after all this.

So, luckily my steel guy and electrician came together and were able to get everything ready for inspection. Steel finished at 730am Friday morning and the inspector should up at 750am…talk about cutting it close haha. But the good news is that we passed inspection and we are ready for shotcrete!!!

We also decided on our plaster... We are going with the Barbados blue quartzscape with addition of the reflective series for the wet deck area.

This will be the tile and the travertine we will be using also!
