I'm putting in a pool/spa with the equipment listed below. I can really only get 50 amps off of my home panel to feed the pool equipment without doing some significant rewiring. I'm hoping that 50A would be enough, but everywhere I read, I see folks suggesting 100A service to the pool equipment.
Any thoughts, recommendations, slaps in the face? Am I missing anything that I should be considering?
- One (1) 3HP Pentair Intelliflo VSF Pump (Full Load Amps: 16)
- One (1) 3/4HP Booster Pump (for water features) (6.4 Amps)
- Two (2) 1.5HP Blower (4 Amps Each)
- Gas heater (Pentair MasterTemp 400K BTU) - which, apparently the heater operating amp draw is 2.5 AMPS at 240V. The heather requires a 15A circuit for the inrush current.
- Then small loads like four (4) Pentair MicroBrite LED lights (fractions of an amp pull through the 12V transformer) and valve actuators.
