Hi all, i am looking for some recommendations on pool cleaners for my 40k gallon mostly rectangular pool.
Do you have a non-Dolphin robot that works well and has lasted more than a single pool season that you would recommend?
I like the app functionality of the Dolphin but they just seem poorly built and the RMA process takes forever, plus they make you pay for shipping even though it's under warranty.
Backstory:
I am on my second dolphin in three years. I purchased the first Dolphin in the summer of 2021. It lasted until July of 2023. I needed a replacement quickly and did not pursue the RMA process after they explained how long it would take and wouldn't just ship me a new blue cable for me to install myself. I hoped it was just a one off, and bought a new one in August 2023. Has worked great since then (pool is closed 8 months out of the year because i am in the northeast.) Started a cycle this morning, was working fine then i noticed it just stopped. hadn't moved for 2 hours in the middle of the cycle. The app thought it was still cleaning. I turned it off and on, then it said it could not reach the robot, "robot is not responding".
