I have 6x9m pool indoor pool in the garden and found that the space 8m x 12m is so wasted in the winter for 6 months at least . Wonder if anyone has converted the pool opening into a hard floor turning a games room or something for 6 months.

I have been in a house that had a solid drop in floor constructed over the pool in the indoor pool room. You would not know the pool was under the floor if they did not tell you.
The floor panels could be removed but the older couple was not interested in having the pool and they drained it and put the floor on top of it. They said it was left so a future owner could remove the floor panels if they wanted to restore the pool room.
