Alternate method of removing baqua-****

I also found an alternate method of removing baqua-Crud from my pool. I'm using non-chlorine shock - but it seems similar to your method. I found it on poolcenter.com, http://www.poolcenter.com/how_to_convert_from_biguandes_.htm I'll let you know how it turns out, we started on Friday.

While you can use lots of non-chlorine shock or can also use sodium percarbonate to get rid of Baquacil, it's a lot more expensive than using chlorine, though is a lot less colorful and is generally faster.

Thanks chem geek - i spent about $80 on the non-chlorine shock powder - good news is that I have 2 bags left over!

Also, shouldn't the filter be cleaned after conversion, not before
