Hey guys, I joined TFP last week, and learned a whole lot. I am waiting on my TF-100 pool test kit to come hopefully tomorrow or friday. Until then, I've added quite a bit of FC to combat my algae problem. I'm almost there, just see new algae collect or grow on the floor of the pool after I vacuum. All I have is this Lame test strip. What do yall think I can do in the mean time?

Here is a sequence of pictures over the last 10 days. Last is today.

Add 1 gallon of 10% liquid chlorine to your pool daily until you get your test kit.

Download PoolMath

Review the SLAM Process

When you get your test kit post the results in the format..

I have been adding 10% liquid chlorine every day, but the other day I added too much and I've been waiting for it to come down a bit before adding more. I am vacuuming and back washing the filter about every other day. I have also had pool math for a week as well, updating my logs. You can look if you want.

How much chlorine are you adding daily? Is it liquid chlorine? Do you brush daily? That will help get everything up into circulation and help avoid areas of poor circulation getting green.
