Algae under bubbler cover

Pool has never had issues, always tests fine with TF-100. The water is clear, has been clear. But this afternoon, I noticed that there was algae under the Pentair bubbler cover. My guess is, the design doesn't allow for good water circulation. I don't run the bubbler that often, it's scheduled to run once a week for 20 minutes.

Today's result via TF-100

FC: 6.5
CC: 0
pH: 7.6
CH: 375
TA: 70
CYA: 60

So the question is what's the best way to deal with this without it blowing up into a full blown algae issue? If I remove the cover and just let things circulate, do I risk a full blown algae? Maybe I can up the FC for a little bit just so it doesn't dip below the recommended level as it's working the algae?

Thanks,
-S

Either way it's a ticking time bomb. Best to bump-up the FC a bit (just a few FCs) and remove that cover. Give that area a good cleaning and consider including it to any periodic maintenance you may do on your pool from time to time. The fact you haven't seen a major bloom yet is fortunate, so the sooner you neutralize it the better. Good catch! :goodjob:

Opened the lids... poured some 8.25% directly over the openings (almost 64oz) ... cleaned out the openings, left the lid open, and will leave the pump running tonight with the SWG going. Opened 2 of 3.... figured I'd open the other one tomorrow.

Let's see how she does in the morning. FC should be in the 8 range after my addition... with SWG running, may be closer to 10 in the AM.
