Algae question

Will black algae adhere and not be able to be brushed off? But not dead algae?

Can SLAM be done in a spa? I couldn't find directions for it on here. I’m thinking if I shock heavily and empty , I may be good?

Alage can be stubborn because it can try to "root" into the plaster. Takes a bit more manual effort than some. Please see our Black Algae - Trouble Free Pool page for details.

Can you SLAM a spa? - yes. But in many cases it's easier to empty and refill. If you haven't see it yet, checkout our How do I use Chlorine in my Spa (or pool)? page. Maybe try and Ahh-some treatment? Hope that helps.
