We have a 3.5k vinyl, endless pool. Indoor & always covered.
Over winter the water went untreated due to illness and we hoped no light would keep it clear.
However, it did develop algae growth.
Water is city water and tests ph consistently in high 7s low 8s.
We've been trying to clear this up with dosages of Lo-Chlor Pool Algaecide figuring shock dose at 8 oz. and repeated filter changes.
This isn't working. Pool remains slightly cloudy and develops slimy walls.
A couple questions:
1. can one overdose the algaecide? for effect and/or swimmer health safety
2. Other recommendations.
Thank you
