Algae on Walls

Typical story. Pump failed, water green. algae on walls & floor of Gunite pool. So now I have the water clear with heavy shock. Chemical levels are ok.

So I start brushing and power washing the algae off the walls, and all the green particles are making the water green again. Seems like this will happen until I get all the algae off the walls & floor.

Is there a better solution ?

Welcome to TFP! Good to have you here :)

Once you have seen algae in the pool you have no choice other than a SLAM SLAM Process

Sorry to hear about the pump failing; you'll definitely need that working as well, along with a recommended test kit (TF-100 from tfteskits.net is the kit most often recommended here)

When I started out, this thread was very helpful to me: TFPC for Beginners

You'll really enjoy the pool a lot more with the algae completely killed off, that's for sure :)
