Algae on Coping?

We live in Houston in we have had a lot of rain lately. I noticed today some green stains on the coping. Could this possibly be algae? I just noticed it on our coping. I don't see anything inside of the pool but I am going to inspect a little better now that the rain has let up.
I tried to clean it off but I don't know how to remove it. I did try a bit of Muriatic Acid with water and it still did not budge. This is travertine coping. If it is Algae, how do I clean it? Our levels were fine before the rain, but a couple of days ago, our PH was high and we had low calcium hardness. We have added chemicals since to fix that. This is the first time I noticed the green staining . I usually brush the pool everyday, but with the rain, I have not brushed as thoroughly as normal., but this is on our coping so not sure if brushing would have made a difference. Our pool is close to 2 months old.

Welcome to TFP!!!

Looks like something is growing. I'd take a 10:1 water:bleach mixture and put it on the surface, scrub and let it sit a bit (30-60min), You might try it a few times consecutively. Likely you'll get it...
