A SLAM is in my near future. As I have been monitoring my pool/spa combo the last few days, I noticed what appears to be algae growing on the backside of my light lens in the spa. I know the pics aren't great but maybe they will help a bit. The algae appears to be on the bottom part of the lens and, when on at night, provides a bit of a green tint to the light that is cast (2nd pic) The pics don't really do it justice. As shared in previous posts, we recently purchased the house and this is our first pool. I know the lights are LEDs but I have no idea about how they sit in the opening in the side of the spa or how to remove them or the lens to clean this off either before, during, or after the SLAM. The trim ring is a Hayward so I assume the rest of the housing/light may also be a Hayward if that helps at all. It is low enough in the spa that I can't really lean in over the edge to attempt to remove it. As I understand it, it is not a screw in bulb but one that is permanently attached to the power line running back to the control box.
Any suggestions or advice?
