Algae in Pentair Lighted Bubbler

We have a similar issue with our lighted bubblers as a previous post (now inactive) and we’re also having to replace the bubbler nozzle as the original ones have cracked out. Does anyone have information on how to remove the algae from inside the fixture. Or is there a replacement option for that type of fixture in a non-lit bubbler?

Hello.... how is the chlorine in the rest of the pool? Is there algae elsewhere? Do you run the bubblers daily to insure that they get refreshed with chlorinated water or do they stay off for long periods and have stagnant water in them?

There is no algae in the rest of the pool. We don’t run the bubblers that often, maybe once a week.

You need to run them at least briefly each day. Otherwise the water sitting in the pipe has no fresh chlorine in there.

We’ll start doing that. In the meantime is there anything we can do to clear out the algae? Thank you.

I don't know how seeing as specifically they're bubblers but you need to figure out how to get more liquid chlorine thru there. I would raise the FC level in the entire pool to your SLAM level which is based on your CYA level.

Thank you. My husband is trying that. If that doesn’t clear the algae, we’ll probably just replace them with non-lighted bubblers if that’s possible.
