Algae hiding places

Anyone ever find algae in pipe behind return jets? It’s black in there but may just be dirt.

Also can you get algae behind the nicheless Hayward ColorLogic lights?

In a really algae-laden pool, yes, it can require some detective work in the skimmers, returns, weir doors, lights, etc. In a properly sanitized pool, even with a small slip-up, you wouldn't normally need to worry about these areas.
