Trying to figure out why I am having air bubble issues band it is driving me crazy for the last month any help would be appreciated
Water is flowing through the system well water level is good
Filter pressure is 10 PSI
Water chemistry is good per local pool store
having persistent algae issues on sides and bottom
Water is clear
Releasing a lot of air from the filter when i open the air relief valve
Pool not leaking water
Air bubbles at top of pump basket
Replaced pump motor and seals mid may
Replaced the pool pump strainer lid and o ring and lubricated.
Check unions and o rings they were ok
No visible leaks in plumbing other than a small drip leak in a screwed connection after the pump into the multiport valve
Checked drain and tightened drain plugs in pump
No impeller blockages

Welcome to the forum!

Air bubbles in the return and/or pump basket is usually a suction side leak pulling air into the system.

Here is more on suction side leaks:

Air leaks/bubbles aside, I highlighted a couple of statements in your post that are troubling.... If you have visible algae, your water chemistry is not good, and your FC to CYA ratio is not being maintained. Do you brush the pool regularly?

Our definition of clear water is usually much different that the pool store definition. Have a look at the pictures in this thread to see what TFP clear water is:

I get a big ol' air bubble in my pump basket as well. And every time I open my air relief valve on the filter, a gush of air comes out.

I've learned to live with it. Big deal. I don't lose water, I don't get air bubbles in the returns, and the plumbing works fine. I guess I have airy water.

As for your algae: that's another thing. You can definitely have algae and clear water. Search for mustard algae on here. It looks like pollen that just won't go away. But it doesn't make your water cloudy. Want the cliff notes on how to deal with it? Put a ton of bleach in the pool, keep it bleachy for several days, and scrub the heck out of the pool every day for 4 days. If you actually do that, and make SURE to keep the chlorine levels very high, you will kill it. I know, because I just went through it.

We don't ever recommend blindly dumping in a 'ton of bleach' to eliminate algae.

To effectively eliminate algae from your pool without risk of damage to the pool we follow the SLAM Process procedure and base the FC level on the current CYA level of the pool.
