Aiper Seagull 3000 battery issues

Did anyone else buy the Aiper Seagull 3000 during the kickstarter campaign and have issues with the battery dieing after only 6 weeks? We always kept it in a dry place when not in use. It shows it's fully charged, but does not power on. I contacted Aiper customer service and they are going to send me a replacement after I ship the current one back, but I am pushing for them to send me one of the corded options where the battery is never in the water.

I bought one and have been using all summer without any problems, knock on wood. Hope you get a satisfactory replacement.

Update: started it up for this first time after a cold winter. Unit would not power on. So I went to charge the battery and the green led indicated a full charge. Notably while the charge adapter was plugged in I could power on the unit but once I unplugged once again I could not power on. I repeated this a few times with the same results.

After 3 summers of use I am beyond the warranty so thinking about trying to replace the battery but not having much luck finding one. If anyone knows where I could get a replacement battery I would appreciate it.
