After startup - pool pump not pulling enough water

Hi All,
started up my pool this year and the pump capacitor went out. No big deal, I diagnosed quickly and replaced with the same capacitor and it started right up. I had initially taken the bolts off the motor to the housing to check the impeller didn't have anything lodged into it.

Once primed, i let it keep going with the skimmer side shut off until the water level increases enough.
It looks healthy and then anytime later after about 20-30 mins i go by and the water being pulled into the pump skimmer basket is visible, like the basket is not full of water like it usually is but I can visibly see a stream of water coming in.

What could be the cause of the loss of pumping? As a result I'm getting air in the pump and its coming out the jets which isn't ideal and is triggering an error for the salt cell.

Just last year i replaced all the seals on the pump (I inherited this pump from the house purchase).

When I do turn on the skimmer side (its not quite full enough yet to do this full time) it helps...but i'm not sure if it will clear it all the way. Is it time for a new pump or is this another issue?

I don't see any visible water leaking anywhere, it's all dry. It's SLIGHTLY damp around the motor but I just had it apart yesterday and it's pretty cold out still here.

Sounds like a leak. I suspect the pump lid that is where leaks usually are. Take out the oring, lubricate it, and put it back.
