Advice for new pump

My pool is 5 years old and will now need its 4th pump !!!

All have been Waterco, so I will DEFINITELY not be going with Waterco.

It was a 2 hp model for a 16k gallon fiberglass pool with a sand filter, salt water chlorinator and 3 small waterfalls.

Any advice? I really can't afford a variable speed pump.

Looks like its a toss up between Pentair and Hayward.

How are the pumps failing? They should be lasting much longer than that.

Definitely not normal. Is it the pump or motor that are dying?
