Good afternoon,

Just got the 'ol Ecomatic going again with an aftermarket cell. Glad to be back in saltwater action!

Only question I have is one I haven't seen much mention of...

From this page, it appears the PoolMath / TFP alkalinity recommendations are referencing total and not adjusted alkalinity. Do I have that right?

Test Kit - K-2006C

(And now it just occurred to me this is the wrong subforum for this question)

PoolMath does the necessary TA adjustments.

We discuss TA as it is measured by the test kit and that is what should be entered into PoolMath

Thanks for the reply. I noticed the same reply was given to another member.

I'm aware PoolMath makes the adjustments. My question was in regard to the recommendations.

Since the PoolMath calculator says "TA," is it safe to assume it means what it says... and I should shoot for 70-80 with 60-90 acceptable "Total Alkalinity" and not "Adjusted Alkalinity?"

Everything here is based on TOTAL Alkalinity.

Forget about adjusted alkalinity when hanging out here.
