Adding Magic Lube to Pump Basket Lid

Hi folks,
I was planning to put some magic lube on my pump basket lid o-ring. It appears the o-ring can't be removed from the lid. Should i just use a q-tip to apply a liberal amount of lube around the outside of the o-ring? Also apart from o-rings what other parts should be lubricated? Do the pump and heater plugs need to be lubed?

A Q-Tip is fine. Sometimes I squeeze my pinky finger in there when I'm pressed for time. You might also check your pump drain plug O-ring and anything else within reach that's convenient to lube.
