When adding CYA, directions usually say to put it in sock in the simmer. Any suggestions as what to use as a sock? Pantyhose for example?

Nylon knee-highs are what I usually use. The queen size can hold ~4 lbs and still have enough stocking left to double wrap it, which keeps leaks down to a minimum. pantyhose works the same, of your wife or GF has a pair she's willing to donate to the cause.
