Hi, after adding CYA to get to about 40 (still waiting to confirm testing in a few more days), my pH went down from 7.2 to 7.0. I have never had to increase pH before...it always creeps up to 8 over time.
I did pool math, which said NOT to add baking soda if your TA was high, and mine is a whopping 175. Pool math says to add borax, which I will buy, but only 0.2 oz by weight or by volume, to move pH from 7.0 to 7.2.
That seems like such a small amount - is that right?

FC - 4
CYA - supposedly 40
pH - 7.0
TA - 175
CA - 125
16,700 gallons 'new' water

I'm setting up an aeration with a sprinkler and submersible pump right now....

Thanks,
Kristin
