Actuator for suction cleaner/skimmer valve

I had a thought today... Does anyone ever put actuators on their valve between their skimmer and suction cleaner, so that they can have their automation system go into a daily "cleaning mode" for a couple hours a day (25% suction to skimmer & 75% suction to cleaner) and then switch over to full skimmer? (Is this even possible w/Easy Touch?) I have an extra actuator on our system for our bubblers that ended up not being needed. The only concern I would have is, if the pool cleaner were ever removed, you'd have blocked water flow to the pump and could possibly burn out the pump if it was only getting 1/4 water flow. Thanks

Well, I accomplished the swap. It was much easier than anticipated. I am not sure why the pool builder originally thought the bubblers needed a motorized actuator to toggle between the bubbler line and the dump line, when that valve is basically a set and forget valve. Now, I can easily schedule the cleaner to run for a couple of hours, and then have maximum skimming the rest of the day.

Yes. I added an entry under pumps for “cleaner.” Now I can run pump at 2700 only when I’m running the suction cleaner instead of at 2700 all the time. Probably save me a bit on electricity since I can toggle pool down to 1800-2000 now and even run for more hours.

As for circuit function.... Generic it is.

Thanks for your help :)
