Acronyms? Is there a list of them on here? Did a search and did not find a list.

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a guide to show all the acronyms used in the pool industry? I am new to this (and this site) and would LOVE to print out a "quick guide" of all the acronyms used here. I apologize in advance if this topic has been covered. The search result only showed one result and there is no guide within the message bodies of all the replies/threads on that post. Thanks in Advance!

Not sure it exists... here's a list off the top of my head and maybe the mods can make a Wiki article out of it...
All of these are themselves, a wiki article.

pH - "potential of hydrogen" (Had to google that one..)
TA - total alkalinity
CYA - cyanuric acid or more commonly sold as "stabilizer"
FC - free chlorine
CC - combined chlorine
TC - total chlorine
CH - calcium
SWCG - salt water chlorine generator
CSI - Calcium Saturation Index
SLAM - shock level and maintain
OCLT - overnight chlorine loss test
OCGT - overnight chlorine gain test
Liquid shock - usually means liquid bleach, or liquid chlorine
TriChlor - chlorine tabs that also add CYA
Dichlor - chlorine powder that also adds CYA
CalHypo - granulated chlorine that also adds calcium
MA - muriatic acid

*mod edit:

Poolstored- why most find their way here.
