Hello! We have an 11,000 gallon gunite pool in Central Florida and have a local company who services the pool every week. Each week they send us a summary of the tasks they’ve completed, along with the chemistry. This is what they sent us this week:
Completed Checklist Items:
Brushing
Skim
Clean Tile
Clean Baskets
Measures:
Chlorine 0.5
pH 8
Total Alkalinity 100
Cyanuric Acid 70
Treatments:
Chlorine Liquid 3 Gallon
Muriatic Acid 1 Quart
Completion Notes:
24 hours later, and this is the chemistry reading we got from the local pool supply store:
Something isn’t adding up to me. Would adding 3 gallons of liquid chlorine cause the chlorine to go from 0.5 to 15?! This has been a common occurrence and they said they don’t believe the pool store reading.
