AC lights, leave in all the time or take out when not using? (AGP)

I’ve got two of these lights. You all likely know what this is. Plugs into AC, low voltage. Magnets on the back so sticks to the wall of an AGP.

Last year I always left them out unless using for two reasons that made sense to me…

1. The magnets being pinned against the vinyl liner for months. I figure any corrosion and friction could damage the liner over time.

2. Constant exposure to chlorine and even just to water will likely break down the waterproof integrity of the unit.

Wondering if anyone just leaves them in all the time or if my reasons for removing when not in use are sound. IMG_2090.jpeg
 
Howdy. I have never used these lights, but if I did, I would probably remove them when not in use, for your second reason.

I would also be a bit paranoid that leaving them attached for long periods could provide a place for algae to lurk.

Definitely will continue to remove when not in use as I have been.
