We have a 20‘ x 52“ round Intex pool. It’s sitting on a concrete slab so the bottom is nice and flat and stable. We have always gotten by using one of the garden hose fed leaf catcher/strainer thingies. I would really like a good vacuum. This pool has two outlets that go directly into the Circupool pump and a Hayward sand filter. I am assuming I can put a cap on one of them and attach a vacuum to the other. I’m curious what other folks have done? It would really be nice to be able to do a thorough vacuuming job of the bottom of the pool. We don’t have a cage or anything so there’s always something in it. Any advice?

We've used the Hayward penguin for the last couple of summers and it is good for our 24' round about 90% of the season. It however does not work well for us during cottonwood season, as the ultra-fine particles clog the intake within ~24 hours, and then it doesn't move around until you remove and clean it. When it dies, or when budget permits, I'm game to try something like the E10.

I was thinking about the old fashioned ones that hook to the pool suction and you get in the pool and vacuum…….the robotic ones might work, but our ladder is fixed and I’m told they will get stuck on it. I might try the Pool Blaster Max.
