Above ground pool pump location

I have a 12 ft stock tank pool that I am installing myself. The only viable location for the concrete pad to hold the pump is about 7 ft away. Is it okay at this distance? And what about using a flexible hose? It would probably run along the ground. Because there is no way to do a straight pipe into the side of the pool. Thanks for your help!

Water should move through a working pool pump and hose at 7 ft without any issue. I don't see any info on your pump but even still you're probably good there assuming you don't have the pump on your roof and it's a not a toy from a Cracker-Jack box. For flexible hose if you're looking for something that will last and something that is sturdy get a length of Flex PVC. Step on it, stomp on it, try and take a bite out of it and it'll still be OK. You can get Flex PVC at lots of places including local hardware stores and online.
