Hey all, been a while since I was last here - which is a testament to all the invaluable advice and information available here!!
A brief history:
Based in NC
Gunite pool - about 18-20k gallons (an odd shape)
TA around 80
CYA around 45/50
CH around 325
TC around 3.5/4ppm (I use liquid chlorine)
Water is crystal clear
My issue is with a PH that seems to be continually on the high side (7.8 and above) almost regardless of how much muriatic (I’ve been using the 14.5% hydrogen chloride stuff from Lowes)
For context I cleaned the filters about 6 weeks ago, brush once a week, skim daily (twice) and throw a pool robot in two/three times a week.
Is there something I am doing wrong? Or is my muriatic too weak? Or is there something else I should be looking at/testing for?
