A&A mfg pop-ups don't rotate on higher pump speeds

I have an A&A mfg low profile 6 port valve. When I run the pump on a low speed all the pop-ups rotate as they should and I can see the paddle wheel spinning, though I don't think they pop-up as much as they should. When I run the pump on a higher speed, I think the paddle wheel is spinning (hard to tell) but the pop-ups are not rotating from one section to the next. At the higher speed I hear a clicking noise inside the valve unit about the time the next valve should open. Maybe the gears are binding? again, not sure. If I take the lid off and spin the paddle wheel a complete rotation, everything is fine and it spins freely. This is a recent development. Anyone have any ideas?

If you are the original owner, contact A&A. They give a lifetime guarantee on their systems, but it only applies to the original owner.

My bet is one or more gears are wearing out on the gearset. Inspect the gearset carefully to see if any of the nylon gears are wearing down and skipping.

As @chiefwej advised, if you are the original owner contact A&A as they will replace the parts under the lifetime warranty (original owner only).

Look at the gear on the underside of the impeller first. That seems where mine tends to wear first. Then check each gear - top and bottom for wear.

My neighbor has had good luck with infloorpoolparts.com for IFCS parts. Their prices seem pretty competitive.
