Hello everyone! We purchased our house last September, when we bought it there was already a 24 inch above ground pool. When we made the offer on the house last August the pool was already dark green with algae. We were told that a cover was going to be put on it after the current owner closed it for us. Because that was not in writing, it didn't happen. The previous owner did empty the filter and close it though. So when summer came and we tried to open the pool that algae was impossible to get completely rid of. We spent hundreds of dollars on chemicals and hours upon hours trying to get rid of all of the algae. We've come to the conclusion that not possible. So we decided to rent a sump pump and drain the pool. We had success so far and The pool drained quickly. Our problem now is that We have some places in the bottom with about an inch or so of water that the sump pump can not get out. I was hoping that someone may have some tricks or tips to help us get the last inch of water out.
