I have an Intex easy set pool 18x48 with the Krystal Clear model 635t dual suction filter pump, shouldn't I be feeling the section of the pump? There's water going through it, just wondering if I did something wrong or is it just not that good of a pump?

Have you checked the cartridge to see if it's all gunked up? A good rinsing or a new cartridge might help.
But yes, for your pool, that pump is none too big. Is the same pump that came with my 16'.
