I am looking for a clever way to prevent the 2-3" long twigs that get sucked into the vacuum when I clean. I always try to remove them with pool net but the stubborn ones stay too close to the pool bottom and I cant catch them. Most are flexible enough to end up at the pump basket but often I see them trapped in the 90 degree turn at bottom of skimmer and have to pluck them out with long needle nose pliers Is there a better tool or technique that might help?
