So there starting my build today. As I was looking over there plumbing supplies I saw they had a box of normal 2" sch 40 90's. I ask him about switching to the sweeping 90's. He does not like using the sweeping he gets better results from the regular. Does it make that much of a difference? Should I make him use them?

No, let him use them. The sweep 90's are typically not sched 40 and therefore not as strong.
Also mas985 and others have taught us that the sweep's reduce friction very, very marginally.
