Went for a swim then ran the new robot for the first time. I love that thing.

pool at 50 deg today
tested my pool for the following (all within normal range)
added algaecide 60
pool will be closed tomorrow morning
pool looked soooo beautiful before closing. Let’s see how it looks next year April. I’m confident all will be well. Keeping my fingers crossed ?.

Had to fix leak at the connection of pump discharge. O ring was split in half so I replaced the o ring and used Teflon tape and rectorseal number 5 pipe thread sealant. The local Napa is the only store that was able to properly match up the o ring. Always buy spears.

Changed pool run time hours down to 4 hours per day (2 early morning, 2 evening), bumped SWG up from 10% to 20%. Checked CL levels ~7, PH ~7.6.

Dumped in salt yesterday so today installed a SWCG.

Brushed, vac'd, added algaecide, lowered water level. Closing tomorrow am. So sad.

Turned the solar back on, had Kokapelli (my S-300) clean it up, and I had to reseat the display board in the AquaRite SWG. With this little stretch of warm weather, I’m going to try and get a few more pool days in before giving up for the year.

Closed up for winter last weekend. Heat pump has been off for a while, and the water was down to 51.

2nd year closing with "Bungee-Plugs" return plugs. Still very happy with the product compared to the expansion plugs I was originally using. I slipped with the channel locks, though, and cracked a face plate on one of the returns, so today I replaced it, and re-blew the return lines.

Been out of town for 9 days...Adjusted chemicals, ran pool Robot for two cycles. Will turn off SWG soon and switch to bleach for the winter. It was a good swim season!

I jumped in after a few hours of yard work - pool temp 69°, air temp 77°. It was cold.

Might be the last time in this year. I will be using the water as a cold plunge/cold soak for my legs after some therapy workouts here or there this winter.

Hosed out the 4 filter cartridges, what a pia. Almost 6 months to the day, installed new. Dogs need to start rinsing off before jumping in.

Do you just toss the entire hair net into the trash weekly when you clean out the skimmers? I want to do this after cleaning my 4 filters last time (whew, ya, mess!) but not sure of the process?
